The Good News & The Bad News

Hello Friends,

The good news is that the cover for CLASS is officially done. (and it’s beautiful!!)

The bad news is that we can’t share it with you just yet.

Blurbs are coming in. Book tour plans are in the works. Stephanie submitted the copy edited, legally vetted, FINAL final final draft of CLASS this week. Things are happening behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to share all of them with you. Thank you for being patient. We guarantee it will be worth the wait.

As we’ve said before, newsletter subscribers will be the first to see the cover of CLASS. So as soon as we get the green light from the publishing world gods, we will send it your way.

Until then!

Team Stephanie

ICYMI - Stephanie participated in Gabe Hudson’s podcast, Twitterverse. Each week, Gabe talks to a writer about their Tweets as way of getting them to tell their most powerful personal stories. Stephanie and Gabe talk about her struggles as a single mother living in public housing with two children and her perseverance to fulfill her dream of becoming a writer. How she used the exorbitant cost of her college diploma as motivation to develop her writing craft. And how the rise of the internet provided Stephanie with new opportunities to bypass traditional gatekeepers. She shares a special personal letter that is framed and hangs by her desk. She discloses the best part about having a military spouse. And Stephanie reveals why she broke her no podcast appearance policy to join Gabe on Twitterverse. Check it out here!

Arctic Breeds Rescue has been rescuing animals in Utah and the surrounding states for over 20 years. They specialize in rescuing Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes. Many of the dogs they take into rescue are deemed "unadoptable" by shelters or local government and have no other options other than to come to a breed specific rescue who can find them a home where they can be set up to succeed. Stephanie adopted her dog, Juneau, from them 3.5 years ago. They are an individual rescue group with a very small network of volunteers. All donations go toward food, medical expenses, vaccines, spay and neuter procedures or transport costs for rescues. Consider donating if you can!

What kind of dog doesn’t bark? A hush puppy!

Juneau wants to remind you all to follow Stephanie on all your favorite social media platforms @stepville. Thanks for hanging out with us! We’ll see you next week.
